They’re on the move!!! Older infants are moving around a bit more at this age…we call this the “wobbler” phase. They’re learning to sit, scoot, crawl, stand and walk. As caregivers we pay close attention to these little explorers as they grow braver and work hard to perfect their mobility. In addition to letting these babies work on their mobility, we’re stimulating them by doing other activities as well.
Here are just some of the things we do at La Petite to help stimulate the growth and development of the wobblers:
- Play peek-a-boo
- Provide toys that can be re-assembled
- Play music and dance to encourage physical movement
- Show large pictures
- Read stories
