La Petite is licensed by the State of Louisiana’s Department of Education. Children ages 6 weeks – 15 years old are welcomed. We offer full-time care for children ages 6 weeks – 5 years old, as well as before/after school care and summer camp for the older children…Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
La Petite focuses on providing a safe, nurturing and educational environment that offers your child(ren) personalized care while they’re away from you during the day.
We have invested a great deal in our security and technology and we’re confident that our facility will offer you comfort in knowing that your children are always safe, while keeping you informed of the details about their days with us. The center remains securely locked at all times. Entry into the center is granted by center administration or by biometric recognition (fingerprint scan). Security cameras monitor each room and the outside parameter of the center throughout the day. While face-to-face communication is encouraged, our iPad technology allows for electronic communication. Parents also have the ability to access details about their child’s day from the web.
Children are cared for by a well-trained staff that receives ongoing development training to assure the best care. Our curriculum is research-based and offers developmentally appropriate techniques that will have your child advancing to each new level and ready for kindergarten when the time comes.
Food served consists of a well-balanced breakfast, lunch and snacks, which is prepared on-site daily.
We pride ourselves in maintaining a clean environment, free from unwanted germs. Children wash hands upon arrival and at appropriate times throughout the day. Sick children and staff are expected to recover at home as to minimize the spread of germs. Rooms toys and equipment are washed and disinfected regularly throughout each day.
We offer an open-door policy and want to develop strong relationships with the parents and children of La Petite. Parents are welcome to visit the center anytime during business hours. Additionally, any parent wanting to view live camera feed is welcome to do so upon request and at a mutually convenient time arranged with the Director.
